Office Policies

We are open to serve you, answer questions or schedule an appointment during the following hours:

Monday - Friday: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Appointments
Your scheduled appointment time has been reserved specifically for you. We request 24-hours notice if you need to cancel your appointment. We are aware that unforeseen events sometimes require missing an appointment. After missing your second appointment without notifying us 24 hours in advance, you are subject to being charged an additional fee.

Insurance
If your insurance covers orthodontic treatment, you will receive the benefit of reduced personal costs. Many insurance policies have a lifetime orthodontic benefit that is distinct from regular dental insurance. Please remember that orthodontic insurance is a benefit for you or your child. If, during the course of treatment, your benefits change, the financially responsible party is accountable for all charges.

Policy for Parents
We recognise the important role that you as a parent play in the successful outcome of your child’s orthodontic treatment. We would like to take this opportunity to inform you of our policy regarding the attendance of your child to our clinic.

We request that the parent / guardian attending the scheduled appointment, remain in the reception area during the treatment procedure. At the completion of the procedure, you will be invited into the clinical area to be informed of the treatment completed. Any queries you may have will be addressed at this time by either the doctor or the therapist.

There are many benefits associated with this clinical policy, such as:

Rest assured that at each individual visit there will be an opportunity for you to discuss the progress of your child’s orthodontic treatment and any concerns or queries you may have.

Under special circumstances at your request, we can arrange for your child to be seen in a more private setting. However, this will require special arrangements and will necessitate appointments to be scheduled out of busy clinical times (i.e: not before or after school hours).

At the Booragoon & Subiaco Orthodontic Clinics we pride ourselves on delivering the highest quality orthodontic care and our highly trained staff are committed to making each and every visit a pleasant and professional experience.

Patient Transfers
Patients with full fixed appliances wishing to transfer to our practice will need to provide us with the following information. As each case is different, we need to assess the patients individual needs to determine whether we can continue with orthodontic care.

Please submit the following: As there are a number of fixed appliance types and techniques currently available, we regret to inform that we are only able to treat patients with fixed appliances that are compatible with our own system.

Whilst every effort will be made to continue your orthodontic treatment, in some circumstances we may not be able to do so.

We will contact you directly with our decision once your case has been reviewed.

If you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.
